Phytholistic® Iron is a purely plant-based, organic iron powder, extracted from curry leaves. They grow on curry trees, but they do not have anything in common with curry powder, except that both are native to Asia. The leaves are, however, often used in both Indian cuisine and Ayurveda.
We source Phytholistic® Iron from plantations in the south of India, of which one is harvested each quarter. The curry leaves are harvested, sorted, and washed by hand. The leaves are then sun-dried for several weeks. Our extract is made from this raw material basis, processed into a standardized 3% iron product.
Phytholistic® Iron is gentle in the stomach and generally well tolerated, making it an ideal supplement, especially for women. Phytholistic® Iron is ideally combined with Phytholistic® Vitamin C for improved bioavailability.
